Hartley History 1922. The town of Hartley has an up-to-date school and is a live little railroad town with two mercantile firms doing a thriving business. The Hartley Lumber & Supply Company, of that place. handles general merchandise, including a good stock of lumber. The Farmers' Equity Company, of Hartley, carries general merchandise and owns the grain elevator at Hartley.
